4月28日，外交部發言人郭嘉昆主持例行記者會。有記者就當前南海局勢相關問題提問。對此，郭嘉昆表示，鐵線礁是中國南沙群島的一部分，是無人島礁。中方依法開展維權執法活動，旨在反制菲律賓方面非法登礁等侵權挑釁活動，堅定維護國家領土主權，確保鐵線礁維持無人無設施狀態，堅定維護《南海各方行為宣言》的嚴肅性。
