4月25日下午，暨南大學(xué)任命“亞洲飛人”、中國田徑運(yùn)動員蘇炳添為體育學(xué)院院長。

On Friday afternoon, Chinese sprinting legend Su Bingtian, the "Asia's Flying Man", was appointed Dean of the School of Sports at Jinan University (JNU). This new role marks another milestone in his multifaceted career that seamlessly blends athletic prowess with academic dedication.

蘇炳添1989年8月29日出生于廣東省中山市古鎮(zhèn)鎮(zhèn)古一村。在體育這條賽道上，他一直堅(jiān)持“兩手抓”，既拼運(yùn)動實(shí)力，也做學(xué)術(shù)研究：2009年進(jìn)入暨大經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院國際經(jīng)濟(jì)與貿(mào)易專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)，2017年取得碩士研究生學(xué)位，2018年4月被正式聘任為暨大體育學(xué)院副教授，隨后受聘為教授。

Born on August 29, 1989, in Zhongshan city, Guangdong province, Su balanced intense athletic training with academic studies, earning a master's degree in International Economics and Trade from JNU in 2017. In April 2018, Su was appointed as professor in JNU.

盡管擔(dān)任教職，但蘇炳添并沒有退出競技賽場。2021年東京奧運(yùn)會上，蘇炳添在男子100米半決賽中跑出9秒83的成績，以小組第一名晉級決賽，刷新了亞洲紀(jì)錄。

Despite his academic commitments, Su remains an active force on the track. His crowning moment came at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, where he shattered the Asian record by clocking 9.83 seconds in the men's 100m semi-finals.

今年36歲的蘇炳添依然在堅(jiān)持比賽。在2月18日舉辦的2025年全國室內(nèi)田徑大獎賽（第3站）中，作為年齡最大的參賽選手，他以6秒65的成績斬獲男子60米決賽冠軍。目前，蘇炳添仍是室內(nèi)男子60米全國紀(jì)錄的保持者。

At 36, Su continues to compete. In the 2025 National Indoor Track and Field Gtrand Prix on February 18, he claimed the men's 60m final title with a time of 6.65 seconds, the oldest competitor yet still holding the national indoor 60m record.
