從4月23日起，海軍五指山艦在海口開啟了為期4天的艦艇開放日活動。連日來，碼頭外排起長隊，市民群眾迫不及待想要一睹“鋼鐵巨獸”的芳容，各個打卡點人頭攢動，參觀群眾“零距離”接受國防教育、“沉浸式”體驗艦艇生活。
海軍五指山艦，舷號987，是一艘以革命老區五指山命名的戰艦，2019年正式加入海軍戰斗序列。
