2025年4月23日，中共中央政治局委員、外交部長王毅和阿塞拜疆外交部長巴伊拉莫夫分別代表兩國政府，簽署《中華人民共和國政府和阿塞拜疆共和國政府關于互免持普通護照公民簽證的協定》。協定將在兩國政府履行必要程序后正式生效。
