4月17日上午，國家主席習近平結束對馬來西亞國事訪問。
離開吉隆坡時，馬來西亞總理安瓦爾，外交部部長穆罕默德，陪同部長、交通部部長陸兆福等高級官員到機場送行。馬來西亞青年載歌載舞，當地中資企業人員、留學生和華僑華人聚集在道路兩旁揮舞中馬兩國國旗，熱烈祝賀習近平訪問馬來西亞取得圓滿成功。
