東莞市氣象臺4月2日發布【東莞重大氣象信息快報】：
預計，2025年開汛時間較歷史同期（4月11日）略偏晚，可能于4月中旬入汛。東莞汛期降水前少后多，階段性、局地性災害性天氣突出，“龍舟水”偏重、暴雨日數略偏多，有出現極端強降水、強臺風影響的可能。清明假期（4月4-6日）天氣總體平穩，無強對流、暴雨等災害性過程，其中4日多云為主，5-6日有小雨。汛期階段性、局地性氣象災害強發、并發的風險高，需做好防御措施。
